What is a MACC and why do companies have it?

MACC (the Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment) is a cloud spend commitment that a company agrees with Microsoft over a defined period of time. It can be used to buy proprietary cloud solutions on Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform, and it’s effectively a budget that many people don’t realise they have.

You may have MACC credits that you could redeem with Proventeq.

Why does a MACC allow you to procure services without additional spending?

As a committed spend agreement, a MACC allows customers to negotiate discounts with Microsoft, providing access to partnership opportunities.

That includes being able to access Proventeq’s solutions and services because we’re a Microsoft AI Cloud Partner with Azure IP co-sell eligible solutions on its Azure platform; our relevant solutions are therefore available as part of your MACC bundle. It’s a bit like having a form of credit with us: the budget is already allocated, meaning you won’t have to pay additional charges for any of Proventeq services that qualify under the agreement.

Why don’t I know about this?

Many organisations have a MACC, but often only key procurement or IT staff know about it. If in doubt, simply inquire within your organization or contact us.

What does MACC include?

It is limited to Azure benefit-eligible offers and is intended for solutions primarily based on or extending Microsoft cloud products or infrastructure.

Various Proventeq solutions are available with your MACC spend on Azure Marketplace. This includes our Content Productivity Suite which helps you seamlessly transition to an intelligent workplace, modernize your ECM infrastructure, automate document processes and enforce compliance & governance. The suite has connectors to most of the popular Enterprise Content Management systems including Documentum, iManage, IBM FileNet, OpenText Livelink/Content Server, eDocs, Alfresco, Meridio, M-Files, ShareFile, Box, Oracle and many more.
