READING, 9 Mar 2011: Proventeq, the innovative ECM Advisory and migration solutions provider announces the successful deployment of the new public-facing site for a Global leader in specialist recruitment. The customer has over 8,000 staff in 380 offices across 27 countries. Last year they placed nearly 80,000 people in permanent jobs, and 300,000 into temporary roles.
The previous web platform, a home-grown CMS, was viewed as "a bridge that can collapse any day, it may be today or two months after". This bespoke platform was built on an older technology which was hard to maintain and enhance.
Allowing the recruitment giant marketing team and other business users to manage their own content meant that what had previously, been a two to three day cycle for users to see the content was dramatically reduced.
The new site uses state of the art Oracle content, portal and database technologies, including:
- Oracle UCM for the web content management platform
- Oracle WebCenter 11g as the portal application (including secure login / registration / personalization)
- Oracle Access Manager for single sign-on and Active Directory 2008 integration
- Oracle WebLogic Suite for the application server
- Oracle Semantics for ontology management
- Oracle Locations for location-based content delivery integrated with Google Maps
The marketing team and other business users of the recruitment giant are now able to manage their own content meaning that what had previously been a two to three day cycle for users to see the content was dramatically reduced.
Proventeq’s Migration Accelerator was the key technology solution used to migrate content into the new environment. Not only was the web content and associated digital assets migrated successfully, but over 150,000 user profiles and 250,000 transactional data items were moved as well into the WebCenter platform.
Working collaboration with key partners, the site was delivered successfully. Infomentum provided key UCM resources and Digital Detox created a seamless user journey through the site’s application functionality.
This joint team also spent significant time working with the business to better understand the value inherent in using a true CMS platform and building a proper governance structure to maintain high quality content as they continue to add content as the site grows.
The new site also has tighter integration with their front and back office systems, allowing better review of their customer relationship management activities by their sales and marketing teams.
